3 Ex-Military Career Success Stories

Moving from a military career into civilian employment can lead in many different directions.

In this short video, Adrian from Demob Job shares three recent ex-military career success stories, including former REME, Royal Navy and Royal Signals personnel who have moved into new civilian roles within engineering, inspection and training.

From Military Engineering to Civilian Careers

Hi, it’s Adrian from Demob Job.

I’ve just returned to the office, having spent a few days away in Birmingham at a fantastic convention, and I’ve come back to some great news.

I can see that some of our candidates have started their new jobs this week, and I thought I’d take a minute out of my day to share three profiles of candidates who have recently started, just to give you a look and feel for what we do here at Demob Job.

The first one is John. He served five years in the REME as an Electronics Engineer and is now a Field Service Engineer, travelling throughout the UK.

Then we’ve got Jack. He served six years in the Royal Navy as an Air Engineering Technician and is now employed as an Engineer Surveyor, a career path that’s really favoured by many of the candidates who approach us.

In fact, we’ve got one outstanding vacancy where we’re looking for somebody with a mechanical background who wants to retrain as an Engineer Surveyor, covering certain areas of London. If that sounds appealing to you, check out our website at demobjob.co.uk.

Lastly, I’ve got Martin, who, very much like myself, served 24 years in the Royal Signals and is now an Apprentice Coordinator at a place I know very well down in Blandford.
