Candidate Testimonials
From REME Vehicle Mechanic to Field Installation Technician: A Standout Recruitment Experience
“I applied for a job via the CTP portal, the response from the Demob Job was very quick and the first call was very informative regarding the role. Joanne was very accommodating with setting up interviews and has kept me updated during the whole process. Even a quick phone call to say they are currently waiting to hear back from the employer was always appreciated. I can honestly say this is the best experience I have ever had with a recruiter, I have already recommended them to other service leavers and will continue to do so in the future.” James was a Level 3 Vehicle Mechanic in the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers and is now employed as a Field Installation Technician in Leicestershire.
Glyn (ex Royal Air Force Aircraft Technician)

I would highly recommend using Demob Job and I have already recommended their services to several of my ex-military friends. Glyn is now employed as an Engineer Surveyor.
REME Vehicle Technician secure new career as Engineering Surveyor
"I first contacted Demob Job after seeing their Instagram page and was immediately impressed with their professionalism and positive attitude towards finding me employment. It was clear from the outset that they had a lot of connections in the Engineering industry and were keen to get to know me. They reassured me about the process which in turn took a lot of pressure off me while I was conducting my resettlement phase. Having then spoken with Kelly Chandler, she quickly gained an in-depth understanding of what skills and experience I had and began to match me with potential employers the next day. When a job was identified as a good fit for me, Kelly explained the job specifications to me clearly to make sure I understood everything. Exactly one week after first contacting Demob Job, I had an interview, and a job offer which I accepted. Kelly and the team were fantastic, and I couldn’t recommend them enough. I am now an Engineering Surveyor with a great company in South Yorkshire”.

Leaving the military is a daunting thought for everyone. But to leave when a pandemic is in full swing really made me rethink my options. However, after speaking with Adrian at Demob Job, my mind was at ease. We spoke about what I was looking for with regards to my future. After only days he found what I can only describe, as a dream job for me. From then on the process was swift. I never felt alone and Adrian was there every step of the way. A few months ago I was petrified about how I would pay to keep a roof over my head. Now I’m comfortably in a job I enjoy. I can’t thank Adrian and Demob Job enough for getting me on the right path to a fulfilling career. Now a Maintenance Engineer in London
Justin (ex-Royal Air Force Mechanical Aircraft Technician)
I left the RAF and began the laborious and slightly soul destroying task of searching for a job appropriate to my skill set. I was in contact with an old colleague who linked me to the advertisement posted on Demob Job by Joanne. I carefully read the criteria requested and contacted Joanne who promptly arranged a chat with me via telephone the next day. Joanne advised me of what the job entailed and after a brief informal Q&A, proposed to put me forward for the role of Field Service Engineer at a Marine company. I was thrilled to hear back that the company were interested in speaking to me via web interview initially and I was coached on some salient points to assist me with techniques and common questions. That interview was completed and Joanne kept in touch between myself and the company for feedback. I was then contacted back by Kim as Joanne had a holiday but I was made aware of this well in advance and Kim became my contact. I was delighted to hear that I was invited to the company HQ on Friday for a face to face interview after being shortlisted. I was delighted to be contacted by Kim to give me the good news that I had been offered the job. Joanne and Kim have been amazing throughout and I cannot thank them enough. I would describe Joanne and Kim as dynamic, highly professional, very supportive and confidence inspiring. I would recommend Demob Job to any service leaver be it imminent or out of the services for some time. Field Service Engineer, Durham
Nathan (ex-Royal Navy Marine Engineer)
“After having served 8 years in the Royal Navy as a Marine Engineer and on starting my transition to Civvy Street I was contacted by Demob Job to help me find my new career. Kelly Chandler was my point of contact throughout, and she was brilliant from start to finish. She noted all my previous skills and experience and used them to match me against jobs that were in my preferred field. She filtered jobs for me that were within my preferred commutable area, working routines, and the salary range I was looking for. I was paired with a job that suited everything that I was looking for. Kelly kept me well-informed throughout the selection and interview process. She even phoned me the Friday before I was due to start work to wish me good luck. I would not hesitate to recommend Demob Job to any member of the Armed Forces looking to take their next career step”. Nathan is now employed as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer in Manchester.
Rob (ex Royal Navy Weapons Engineer)
Excellent recruitment company, love to focus on ex military and as we all know, leaving the Armed Forces is a big step, always stay in contact with you and keep you updated with your process. This was the very first job I applied for, and I was successful, and in the field I wanted, my consultant was Emma Saxton. 10 out of 10 for the effort she put in, no complaints. Rob is now employed as a Field Service Engineer in the Gloucestershire area.
