I applied for a position that I found on the Career Transition Partnership (CTP) website which sounded like it would suit me. A short time later I was contacted by Joanne from Demob Job with some more details about the role. I said that I was interested in the position and that I would like to be put forward for it. Having read through my CV, Joanne suggested a few tweaks to better suit the position which I decided would be a good idea. After only a few days I had an interview lined up and was offered the position starting a month later. Before my first day I was contacted weekly by Joanne to ensure everything was going well and if I needed any advice with my transition from military to civilian life. Overall, the service was first class and thanks to Joanne and the Demob Job team I have now started my first job as a ‘civvy’.

Leaving the British Army during a pandemic was something I never expected to happen. I was quite concerned with the employment opportunities, however I managed to find a job I was interested in and applied to Joanne at Demob Job.  Joanne rang me the very next day to set up an interview.  The communication was second to none through the whole process, and Joanne was brilliant. Having gone through a long and difficult process Joanne was with me every step of the way and was excellent in guiding me through the many obstacles. After 6 years in the Royal Navy I wanted more stability for my home life.  Joanne has been a key part of securing my next career and has been very proactive during every stage of job searching.
