Who are Demob Job?
Demob Job was established in 2005 by our Managing Director Adrian Cheesman after he completed a successful full career in The Royal Corps of Signals.
His vision was to build an ethical and professional recruitment business which would champion the employability of personnel who have previously served in our Armed Forces; Royal Navy, British Army and Royal Air Force.
Since those early days we have continued to grow and now have a focused team of consultants delivering permanent recruitment services to clients all over the UK and overseas.
Our future looks bright as we continue to prosper through planned growth.
Candidate Testimonials
From REME Vehicle Mechanic to Field Installation Technician: A Standout Recruitment Experience
“I applied for a job via the CTP portal, the response from the Demob Job was very quick and the first call was very informative regarding the role. Joanne was very accommodating with setting up interviews and has kept me updated during the whole process. Even a quick phone call to say they are currently waiting to hear back from the employer was always appreciated. I can honestly say this is the best experience I have ever had with a recruiter, I have already recommended them to other service leavers and will continue to do so in the future.” James was a Level 3 Vehicle Mechanic in the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers and is now employed as a Field Installation Technician in Leicestershire.
Amanda (ex RAF Intelligence Analyst)
Huge thank you to Adrian at Demob Job for his help and support successfully finding a role during the COVID-19 pandemic. Within a week of speaking to Adrian, I had had a successful interview for a job that excited me and started work 2 weeks after that. Adrian kept in touch throughout the whole process and unlike some other agencies, seemed to really care about finding me the right role. Now an Instructor in Wiltshire
Stuart (ex Royal Engineers)
It was clear to see from the start I was in safe hands. Joanne had a clear understanding of the role on offer and my capabilities. Sound advice matched with prompt communication helped this process become stress-free and more personal. The end result was a job offer and a position I can see myself fulfilling for a long time with great career progression and opportunities. Stuart is now a Construction Project Engineer in Somerset.
Phillip (ex Royal Air Force Electronics Engineer)
I have nothing but high praise for Demob Job and in particular, Joanne Foster, who is both professional, helpful, and friendly. She explained the process, the role, and assured me I had the skills required, which is not easy when you are going through the redundancy process. I felt I was in safe hands and never had any issues or doubts. Joanne kept in touch regularly to see how I was doing, which I considered a nice touch. I would recommend Demob Job as a recruitment agency to anyone and everyone. Phillip is now an IT Support Engineer in Tyne and Wear)
Jamie (previously a Marine Engineer in the Merchant Navy)
Emma was a great help in helping me get the job. She identified what transferable skills I had to match up with the job. I was a little nervous about changing career paths, especially with it being over 10 years since I last had an interview. Emma always kept me in the loop with any updates and gave great advice and information about the job that put my mind at ease and allowed me to go into the interview confident and fully prepared. I would recommend Demob Job and especially Emma to anyone looking for help in finding a new career. Jamie is now employed as a Maintenance Engineer in the North East.
From REME Aircraft Engineer to Engineer Surveyor: Expert Support Every Step of the Way
"Kelly reached out to me about a role she was working on helping me through the application process. She talked me through the kind of technical questions I could expect in the interview, which made a big difference going in prepared. She also chased things up with the company keeping me posted on where things stood, so I always knew what was happening rather than being left guessing. From first contact to actually starting the job was about 6 weeks, which felt like a genuinely quick and straightforward process. Would highly recommend." Zav previously served in the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME) as an Aircraft Engineer, now employed as an Engineer Surveyor.
Mitchel (ex Royal Navy Aeronautical Engineering Technician)
Jack and I connected on linked in a little over a month ago and ever since he has been a brilliant asset to finding my next career. He found numerous job roles that fitted my criteria, coached me through the roles and interview techniques, and ultimately assisted in me getting my new position. Jack kept me well updated through the whole process and I really felt he had my best interests. I could not recommend Jack enough to anyone who is leaving the forces and looking to transition into civilian life. Mitchel is now employed as a Field Service Engineer in Somerset.
