I applied for a position that I found on the Career Transition Partnership (CTP) website which sounded like it would suit me. A short time later I was contacted by Joanne from Demob Job with some more details about the role. I said that I was interested in the position and that I would like to be put forward for it. Having read through my CV, Joanne suggested a few tweaks to better suit the position which I decided would be a good idea. After only a few days I had an interview lined up and was offered the position starting a month later. Before my first day I was contacted weekly by Joanne to ensure everything was going well and if I needed any advice with my transition from military to civilian life. Overall, the service was first class and thanks to Joanne and the Demob Job team I have now started my first job as a ‘civvy’.

I was contacted by Emma having just left the Royal Navy about helping to find me work. Demob Job and especially Joanne Foster were exceptional in finding me a new role. Persistently I had been turned down for a role at the final stage as I was apparently too good, only to be refused a position above this (same company different site) as I did not have experience.  Joanne consulted with the employer and explained my case which thankfully led to interviews and, I am glad to say, an offer of employment which I have accepted.
