Who are Demob Job?

Demob Job was established in 2005 by our Managing Director Adrian Cheesman after he completed a successful full career in The Royal Corps of Signals.

His vision was to build an ethical and professional recruitment business which would champion the employability of personnel who have previously served in our Armed Forces; Royal Navy, British Army and Royal Air Force.

Since those early days we have continued to grow and now have a focused team of consultants delivering permanent recruitment services to clients all over the UK and overseas.

Our future looks bright as we continue to prosper through planned growth.

Candidate Testimonials

Rob (ex Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME))

Joanne Foster and the Demob Job team were instrumental in supporting myself and my application in finding a new and fulfilling role, in an industry where my skillset fits and has the opportunity to develop further. Joanne fully supported me from the initial telephone conversation and numerous interviews to my first week in role assuring that the role was a fit for me as well as the company.  Many recruiters disappear once the Job offer has been made, not Demob Job.  The team continues to offer advice and support to ex-service individuals via their website and social media for no-return, this is a company with honest intentions to support ex-forces.  I cannot recommend Demob Job highly enough.  Rob is now employed as a Systems Auditor in Wiltshire.

Michael is a former Royal Air Force Aircraft Weapons Engineer, now a Workshop Engineer in Blackpool.

"One Friday afternoon, the 'job of the week' landed in my inbox. I called Joanne immediately to discuss the role. After a good conversation, she was confident to introduce my application to the company. Joanne then helped with my CV which needed to be civilianised to make it easier to read. The application process was very smooth and Joanne was there at each step to help, advise and encourage. There is a lot said about transferable skills and I can tell you many of the skills I had taken for granted are very much transferable into civilian roles. The online interview tips and tricks were great and I followed every bit of advice given in it. I was offered a second interview and I’m delighted to say I have been offered the position. Demob Job takes the time to listen to potential candidates, unlike so many others who just throw candidates against a wall and see what sticks! Thanks to the whole team and especially Joanne Foster" – Michael is a former Royal Air Force Aircraft Weapons Engineer, now a Workshop Engineer in Blackpool.

Chris (ex Royal Signals – Communications Systems Operator)

After receiving a Demob Job Vacancy Alert that ticked all my boxes, I contacted Adrian for further details.  One-week later I was sat in front of his client and was duly successful in being offered the role.  Adrian immediately made me feel at ease, ensuring that the process was comfortable, yet structured, with all necessary support and advice along the way.  Three weeks from my initial contact with Adrian I start my new role and I'm over the moon!  I cannot recommend Adrian and his team highly enough, many thanks indeed!  Now a Field Based Training Executive in Gloucestershire

Craig (ex Royal Navy Logistics Specialist)

I left the Royal Navy in July 20 having served just under 7 years as a Supply Chain Logistics Specialist. DEMOB JOB approached me on the 24th July to discuss a vacancy they had available. After a few telephone conversations with DEMOB JOB regarding the position and a little bit of information about the company I was successful in being put forward for an interview with the company the following week. The next day I was again contacted by DEMOB JOB to inform me I had been successful in the interview and the company was offering me the position available. I accepted the offer and was given a start date. I would have no hesitation in recommending DEMOB JOB to any ex military personnel or current serving members who are in the process of leaving HM Armed Forces and seeking employment in civvie street.  Craig is now employed as a Defence Operations Coordinator in Tyne & Wear.

How Demob Job Helped Me Transition from the Royal Artillery to Apprenticeship Coordinator

Joanne was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process, from the initial chat through to the interview and eventual job offer. She kept me well informed at every stage, providing reassurance and making sure I was always in the loop. Even after I accepted the role, Joanne stayed in regular contact, assisting with the onboarding process and ensuring I had all the support I needed. Her dedication made it possible for me to secure the opportunity I was looking for." – Former Royal Artillery member, now an Apprenticeship Coordinator.
