Candidate Testimonials
Lee (ex-Royal Air Force Engineer)
Joanne contacted me from Demob Job regarding a service engineer vacancy in the south of England. I was extremely impressed with her knowledge of my transferable skills and that this is what they were looking for. Her enthusiasm and speed to get me an interview for the position and the constant updates was commendable. I would recommend Demob Job to all personnel who are leaving or have left the service to use them as they provide an excellent service and support through the whole process Radio Engineer, Reading
Jamie (previously a Marine Engineer in the Merchant Navy)
Emma was a great help in helping me get the job. She identified what transferable skills I had to match up with the job. I was a little nervous about changing career paths, especially with it being over 10 years since I last had an interview. Emma always kept me in the loop with any updates and gave great advice and information about the job that put my mind at ease and allowed me to go into the interview confident and fully prepared. I would recommend Demob Job and especially Emma to anyone looking for help in finding a new career. Jamie is now employed as a Maintenance Engineer in the North East.
Noel (ex REME Avionic Technician)
Just before I was made redundant I received a phone call from Emma at Demob Job having previously registered on their web site. She asked if I would be interested in applying for a Field Service Manager position. I was sceptical at first but she convinced me to make an application. Unfortunately, I was unsuccessful at the interview but gained some valuable feedback which suggested that I may be more suited to a hands-on role as a Field Service Technician. This led to a further interview and, I am glad to say, a job offer. If I had not let Emma convince me to attend the initial interview I would probably never have even tried for the second position. I would have no hesitation to recommend both Emma and Demob Job to my ex-military colleagues. Field Support Technician, Dorset
Nathan (ex-Royal Navy Marine Engineer)
“After having served 8 years in the Royal Navy as a Marine Engineer, on starting my transition to civvy street I was contacted by Demob Job to help me find my new career. Kelly was my point of contact throughout, and she was brilliant from start to finish. She noted all my previous skills and experience and used them to match jobs that were in my preferred field. She filtered jobs for me that were within my preferred commutable area, working routines, and the salary range I was looking for. I was matched with a job that best suited everything that I was looking for. Kelly kept me well-informed throughout the selection and interview process. She even phoned me the Friday before I was due to start my new job to wish me good luck. I would not hesitate to recommend Demob Job to any member of the Armed Forces looking to take their next step”. Nathan is now employed as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer in Manchester.
Dave (Ex Royal Engineers)
“I saw a post on LinkedIn about Demob Job and then signed up to their site. I continued to monitor for updates, looking for interesting engineering roles in my area. Once a role grabbed my attention I applied through their site and not long after received a call from Adrian Cheesman. He talked through my experience, expectations, the employer and the realities of the role. I have since received an offer of employment and would like to express my sincere thanks to Adrian and Joanne Foster at Demob for their help, support and guidance throughout this process. I would highly recommend Demob Job to anyone leaving or thinking of leaving the military with an Engineering/Technical background as a route to employment!”. Dave is now employed as a Field Service Engineer in West Yorkshire.
Gemma (ex Royal Armoured Corps and Royal Corps of Signals)
Leaving the British Army during a pandemic was something I never expected to happen. I was quite concerned with the employment opportunities, however I managed to find a job I was interested in and applied to Joanne at Demob Job. Joanne rang me the very next day to set up an interview. The communication was second to none through the whole process, and Joanne was brilliant. Joanne gave me some brilliant advice to prep for my interview and even followed up on the day. I am proud to say the interview was successful and I was offered the job which would start only two weeks later. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Joanne for making my transition into civilian life seamless. Gemma is now employed as a Telecommunications Apprentice Trainer in Wiltshire.
Owen (ex Royal Navy electrically biased Weapons Engineer)
A great process. From the first call I received where the opportunity was introduced to the call on the Friday before I started the job Joanne was helpful, professional, and always at the end of the phone if I had any inquiries. Many thanks to Joanne Foster and Demob Job for the opportunity, I am enjoying my new employment. Owen is now a Service Engineer in Gloucester.
