From Royal Signals to Contract Manager: How Demob Job Helped Me Break the Cycle of Rejections
“Exceptional support throughout my job application from a truly dedicated professional recruiter. After 3 months of job hunting, and over 300 unsuccessful job applications, I was approached by Joanne Foster from Demob Job. She had found a job that aligned with my experience and previous military career perfectly. From the very first conversation, Joanne took the time to understand not just my CV, but what I was actually looking for. She worked tirelessly on my behalf, keeping me updated, preparing me for interviews and ensuring I had the best possible chance of success. Her professionalism, dedication and personal approach made the whole process smooth and stress free. From RAF Aircraft Fitter to Maintenance Technician: How Demob Job Found My Perfect Role
“I have done what I believe most service leavers do and saved my leave to have a few months off at the end of their career. I’d been at home making the most of the summer with my wife and kids but with the end of the summer holidays in sight I started to upload my cv to various websites. Almost immediately I was bombarded with calls from pushy recruiters telling me I’d be “perfect” for whatever job they had and would I like to apply but never hearing from them again, after a few weeks I was getting fed up with this. Then Kelly Chandler from Demob Job gave me a call. We had an actual conversation about what sort of employment and employer I was looking for, discussed the skills I had developed in the RAF and we ended the call with assurance she would find something suitable for me. I got a call back from Kelly a few days later about a position available in a company that met my specification. My CV was sent off, I went for an interview and got the job! Kelly was there to support and guide me through the whole process and I’m looking forward to starting my job on Monday. I can’t recommend Demob Job highly enough!” Gary completed a full career in the Royal Air Force as an Aircraft Fitter and is now employed as a Maintenance Technician in Merseyside.

She took my details whilst asking pertinent questions that allowed her to judge my suitability for the role in a very quick and professional manner. Her communication with me throughout the process was faultless, and her openness to solving any issues was second to none. Joanne made what could potentially have been a fraught process extremely simple. I have no hesitation in recommending both Joanne and Demob Job to any veteran seeking a new position; you will not be disappointed. Simon is now a Contract Manager in Dorset).
Daniel (ex-Royal Navy Marine Engineer)
After being tagged in the job advertisement by a colleague, Emma was very quick to get in touch with me and have a thorough conversation about my background, skills and whether or not I was an appropriate candidate for the job. Emma kept me up to date throughout the process with friendly and informative conversations including preparations for the interview and eventually explaining that my application was successful. In a time that could become very stressful as my TX date was looming, Emma and the whole Demob Job team remained very calm and helpful. I couldn't recommend them enough, thanks for all the help. Project Engineer (Mechanical), Northumberland
