Whilst scrolling through the latest job vacancies on LinkedIn, I found a Field Service Engineer position that caught my eye. I wasn’t too sure if Demob Job could help me, as I left the Armed Forces nine years ago. I initially called up Demob Job ex-military recruitment agency to request further details and I spoke to Joanne Foster. Joanne was fantastic at explaining the vacancy further and the recruitment process. The whole process from start to finish was great, with Joanne supporting me at every stage. I found Demob Job to be very helpful in my transition into a civilian engineering role. After a rough pandemic, I was lacking in confidence in my skills and struggled to see where I would fit into a civilian role in my chosen field. Adrian took the time to really listen to my story and understand my goals and set about working to find a good fit. He helped me regain perspective and see what I had to offer.  I was quickly matched to a great role and was subsequently successful at interview with the company director, being offered the role the same day. Leaving the British Army during a pandemic was something I never expected to happen. I was quite concerned with the employment opportunities, however I managed to find a job I was interested in and applied to Joanne at Demob Job.  Joanne rang me the very next day to set up an interview.  The communication was second to none through the whole process, and Joanne was brilliant.
