A new career as an Engineer Surveyor secured by ex-Forces REME engineer

"I can't thank Demob job enough, I'm an ex-REME mechanic and I wanted to get into Engineering Surveying, and with the help of Kelly Chandler from Demob job I have managed to land myself an exciting fresh start in a Surveying role. The Demob Job team are friendly and always more than willing to help, their support has made the process of getting a new job a lot easier and less daunting" – Former REME Vehicle Mechanic, now an Engineer Surveyor.

Mark (ex REME Avionics Technician)

I phoned Demob Job to enquire about a job I had seen advertised which closely matched my skill set. I was put in touch with Joanne at Demob Job who explained the vacancy in detail and discussed my background and expectations.  This lead to me being introduced to the company which resulted in an interview being arranged very quickly. The interview was a three-step process, one interview by phone, and two further interviews face to face. Joanne kept in constant touch with myself and the employer making sure that I knew what to expect and that I was fully prepared for each interview. Without Joanne`s help, support, and encouragement, it would have been extremely unlikely that I would have got the job.  Even after the job offer Demob Job still contacted me to ensure that I was completely happy.  I found everybody who I dealt with at Demob Job, especially Joanne, extremely helpful and polite. From REME Vehicle Mechanic to Engineer Technician: Jack’s Civilian Career Breakthrough

“After being on the lookout for jobs for a while, I didn’t think I was getting anywhere until I applied through Demob Job. Once I had applied, I didn’t have to wait long before I was contacted by Joanne Foster, who oversaw the whole process and kept me in the loop throughout. I was fortunate enough to get the job, and even after being offered the role, Joanne stayed in contact to make sure the process of starting was as easy as it could have been.” Jack served in the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME) as a Vehicle Mechanic and is now employed as an Engineer Technician within the Energy sector.

Julian (ex British Army – Household Cavalry Regiment)

After applying for a position through the Demob Job website I was contacted by Emma who was very helpful in helping me adjust my CV to reflect the vacancy.  Emma organised everything, including the interview which I attended and was offered the job.  I would like to personally thank the team at Demob Job and particularly Emma for her friendly professionalism and assistance.  Now an Estates Manager in West London

Andy (Royal Air Force – Avionics Engineer)

I applied for a position that I found on the Career Transition Partnership (CTP) website which sounded like it would suit me. A short time later I was contacted by Joanne from Demob Job with some more details about the role. I said that I was interested in the position and that I would like to be put forward for it. Having read through my CV, Joanne suggested a few tweaks to better suit the position which I decided would be a good idea. After only a few days I had an interview lined up and was offered the position starting a month later. Before my first day I was contacted weekly by Joanne to ensure everything was going well and if I needed any advice with my transition from military to civilian life. Overall, the service was first class and thanks to Joanne and the Demob Job team I have now started my first job as a ‘civvy’.
