Who are Demob Job?
Demob Job was established in 2005 by our Managing Director Adrian Cheesman after he completed a successful full career in The Royal Corps of Signals.
His vision was to build an ethical and professional recruitment business which would champion the employability of personnel who have previously served in our Armed Forces; Royal Navy, British Army and Royal Air Force.
Since those early days we have continued to grow and now have a focused team of consultants delivering permanent recruitment services to clients all over the UK and overseas.
Our future looks bright as we continue to prosper through planned growth.
Candidate Testimonials
Mike (ex Royal Air Force electrically biased Avionics Engineer)
Joanne at Demob Job is unlike any other recruiter I have been in contact with as I am sure all the recruiters with Demob Job are. Joanne was friendly, professional, and genuinely interested in putting the correct person in the correct role. Many recruiters merely contact you to fill their numbers, filling you with false hope and never returning the many phone calls you make to them. From the initial phone call I received from Joanne to the last I felt Demob and Joanne wanted to get the best possible outcome for me and not only for them or the company. I will be recommending Demob job and Joanne to all service leavers I know as I wish someone had recommended them to me months ago. Thank you Joanne and Demob Job. Mike is now a Field Electrical Engineer in Tyne & Wear.
Fleet Air Arm to Project Engineer: recruitment support from start to finish
"After serving in the Royal Navy for over 18 years, I was approaching my leaving date and growing nervous about finding a job I truly wanted in time. A few days after uploading my CV to several sites, Joanne Foster from Demob Job reached out, and I instantly felt at ease. She guided me through what the job entailed and kept in touch throughout the entire interview process. I’ve now accepted the role, and I can’t thank Joanne enough for everything she has done. I highly recommend her and Demob Job to any service leaver." – Former Fleet Air Arm member, now a Project Engineer.
Alex (ex Royal Navy – Leading Air Engineering Technician)
Emma Saxton was great in finding me work after I had put my notice in with the Royal Navy. After an uncertain time, I was beginning to worry about finding civilian employment, but this changed when I contacted Demob Job. After speaking with Emma, I felt more confident and positive about my job search. Emma found me a job with a leading multinational industrial engineering company with terms and conditions which far surpassed any expectation I had with leaving the Armed Forces, I was thrilled. I would encourage anybody leaving their military career to contact Demob Job. Alex is now a Field Service Engineer in Cumbria.

She took my details whilst asking pertinent questions that allowed her to judge my suitability for the role in a very quick and professional manner. Her communication with me throughout the process was faultless, and her openness to solving any issues was second to none. These are the people to go to when you are leaving your Armed Forces career. I cannot thank Demob Job enough for making me feel so valued, I cannot wait to start my new career”. Paul is about to start his new job as an Engineer Surveyor in Shropshire.
Arran (ex REME Electronics Technician)
I was contacted by Emma at Demob Job a couple of months prior to leaving the military. Within 24 hours from first talking, Emma had already arranged two interviews with potential employers within walking distance of my house. One of these interviews proved successful and I was subsequently offered the job in which I am now very happy. Emma went the extra mile to ensure my transition into civilian life was easy and hassle-free, it felt like a very personal service and she has followed up with me a couple of times now, wishing me well and ensuring everything is going ok. All in all, Demob Job and Emma will do what it takes to ensure you find the right job. Field Service Engineer, Lancashire
Chris (Royal Navy Weapons Engineer)
“After uploading my CV to most of the general websites, within days, I was fortunate to receive a phone call from Joanne Foster at Demob Job informing me that she had found my CV online and wondered if I was in fact interested in a future role that she had matched my transferable skills against. From the start, Joanne was open and forthcoming with all the relevant information pertaining to the job role and the background on the company. Sure enough, I was put forward for this particular role and within days had secured a first stage interview. Fortunate to be successful and be welcomed back to a second stage interview by the company, Joanne was in close contact with the company and made arrangements for myself to attend and further discussed with me the potential next stages. This was all stress free, relaxed and handled by the professionalism of Joanne at every stage and waypoint. I am sure that if not for Joanne and Demob Job, that my CV may have fell by the side of the road and not been so successful. This came at a time when my previous role was contractually coming to an end and was flawless in transition. Highly professional, informative, and friendly throughout the process and would highly recommend Joanne and the team at Demob Job to anyone who is looking to progress their own career.” Chris is now employed as an Auditor in Glasgow.
