Who are Demob Job?
Demob Job was established in 2005 by our Managing Director Adrian Cheesman after he completed a successful full career in The Royal Corps of Signals.
His vision was to build an ethical and professional recruitment business which would champion the employability of personnel who have previously served in our Armed Forces; Royal Navy, British Army and Royal Air Force.
Since those early days we have continued to grow and now have a focused team of consultants delivering permanent recruitment services to clients all over the UK and overseas.
Our future looks bright as we continue to prosper through planned growth.

“Emma has been fantastic from day one when I applied for a job through Demob Job. She has a great understanding of how the transition from the military to civilian life works so knows exactly how to help you. She was able to provide helpful tips and really does put 110% effort into helping you. Overall, a friendly and helpful professional who is very knowledgeable in helping ex-military jobseekers gain employment. I will be highly recommending Emma and the Demob Job team to others.” Sam is now employed as a Field Service Engineer working within the fuel sector.
Ben (ex-Royal Air Force – Mechanical Ground Engineer)
I registered with Demob Job in July and within 36 hours Joanne contacted me regarding an exciting opportunity. Joanne spoke with me about the role and took some further information regarding my professional qualifications and skills. Within one week of being introduced, I had an interview arranged which resulted in me being offered the position. I am delighted with Joanne as she was she sticks to her word, is courteous and the whole experience has been ideal. Mechanical Engineering Technician, Newcastle Upon Tyne
William (ex Royal Navy Marine Engineer)
Within 5 days of contacting me, Joanne had secured me an interview in my preferred field, which subsequently led to me gaining my first job outside of the Royal Navy. Joanne could not have been more helpful throughout the whole process, keeping in regular contact the whole time and always being on hand to answer any questions that I had. I would not hesitate to recommend Joanne to any service leaver in the future. William is now employed as an Operations Engineer in Somerset.
Cameron (ex-Royal Navy Leading Marine Engineering Mechanic)
“Since day one both Joanne and Demob Job have been fantastic. From the off, I was instantly put at ease and the worry and anxiety of leaving the armed forces and finding employment, quickly evaporated. Joanne was fantastic in her role. Clearly working hard and diligently to find me the best possible job to fit my criteria. She was a fantastic listener, great motivator and was great at reassuring me following challenging interviews and tests. Overall, I cannot recommend Demob Job enough. Their ability to find work for service leavers is brilliant and thanks to them I feel optimistic and excited for my future on civvy street. Thank you for everything Joanne”. Cameron is now employed as a Shift Maintenance Technician in County Durham.
Dean (ex Royal Air Force Avionics Technician)
Demob Job and especially Joanne Foster were exceptional in finding me a new role. Persistently I had been turned down for a role at the final stage as I was apparently too good, only to be refused a position above this (same company different site) as I did not have experience. Joanne consulted with the employer and explained my case which thankfully led to interviews and, I am glad to say, an offer of employment which I have accepted. I can honestly say if it were not for the hard work and dedication of Joanne and the Demob Job team, I would not have secured this new job. I would highly recommend them to all service leavers! Dean is now employed as an Engineering Shift Leader in Castle Donnington, Derbyshire.
Chris (ex Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers)
Emma contacted me after I applied for a Field Service Engineer position. Within days Emma came back to me, spoke to me about the vacancy and then helped me tweak my CV specifically for the role. Emma helped me with every step of the process happy to use several methods of contact as I was difficult to reach due to my work commitments. She was patient and understanding. Thanks to Emma, within 5 weeks I had started a new job. In addition, my new boss has since alluded that this was his first-time using Demob Job and he was so pleased how it had worked out. Both my new boss and I would highly recommend Demob Job to anybody who is looking for a new career after their military career. Double thumbs-up for Demob Job! Now a Field Service Engineer in West Yorkshire
