REME Vehicle Mechanic secures new career as an Engineer Surveyor

"Kelly, you have been a great help from the beginning securing me an interview on such short notice and keeping me up to date with everything right to the very end. You were prepared to listen and understand what I was looking for along with offering good advice which no doubt played a part in me securing this position. Stuart (Completed a full career in the Royal Air Force (RAF) as a Chef)

Demob Job was a fantastic agency to use. Very knowledgeable and professional and highly recommended for anyone leaving the services looking for a career in engineering.  Stuart is now employed as a White Goods Engineer covering the Hampshire area.

Andy (Royal Air Force – Avionics Engineer)

I applied for a position that I found on the Career Transition Partnership (CTP) website which sounded like it would suit me. A short time later I was contacted by Joanne from Demob Job with some more details about the role. I said that I was interested in the position and that I would like to be put forward for it. Having read through my CV, Joanne suggested a few tweaks to better suit the position which I decided would be a good idea. After only a few days I had an interview lined up and was offered the position starting a month later. Before my first day I was contacted weekly by Joanne to ensure everything was going well and if I needed any advice with my transition from military to civilian life. Overall, the service was first class and thanks to Joanne and the Demob Job team I have now started my first job as a ‘civvy’.

REME Vehicle Technician secure new career as Engineering Surveyor

"I first contacted Demob Job after seeing their Instagram page and was immediately impressed with their professionalism and positive attitude towards finding me employment. It was clear from the outset that they had a lot of connections in the Engineering industry and were keen to get to know me. They reassured me about the process which in turn took a lot of pressure off me while I was conducting my resettlement phase. Having then spoken with Kelly Chandler, she quickly gained an in-depth understanding of what skills and experience I had and began to match me with potential employers the next day. When a job was identified as a good fit for me, Kelly explained the job specifications to me clearly to make sure I understood everything. Exactly one week after first contacting Demob Job, I had an interview, and a job offer which I accepted. Kelly and the team were fantastic, and I couldn’t recommend them enough.  I am now an Engineering Surveyor with a great company in South Yorkshire”.

How Demob Job Helped Me Transition from the Royal Artillery to Apprenticeship Coordinator

"I was searching for a new opportunity when Joanne Foster from Demob Job reached out after I applied for a position on the website. Joanne was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process, from the initial chat through to the interview and eventual job offer. She kept me well informed at every stage, providing reassurance and making sure I was always in the loop. Even after I accepted the role, Joanne stayed in regular contact, assisting with the onboarding process and ensuring I had all the support I needed. Her dedication made it possible for me to secure the opportunity I was looking for." – Former Royal Artillery member, now an Apprenticeship Coordinator.

Dean (ex Royal Air Force Avionics Technician)

Demob Job and especially Joanne Foster were exceptional in finding me a new role. Persistently I had been turned down for a role at the final stage as I was apparently too good, only to be refused a position above this (same company different site) as I did not have experience.  Joanne consulted with the employer and explained my case which thankfully led to interviews and, I am glad to say, an offer of employment which I have accepted. I can honestly say if it were not for the hard work and dedication of Joanne and the Demob Job team, I would not have secured this new job.  I would highly recommend them to all service leavers!  Dean is now employed as an Engineering Shift Leader in Castle Donnington, Derbyshire.
