Strictly Come Recruitment

I’m not ashamed to say that Strictly on a Saturday night is one of my favourite programmes.

If I was a celebrity, this would be the one for me.

The opportunity to be intensely trained by someone who is at the ‘top of their game’ in a new skill is an opportunity not to be missed.

Last week I was invited to speak to an audience of businesses in the North East about the employability of ex-military engineers.

One thing I touched on was how highly trained they are.

When I reflect on my long Army career I, like most, received training from people at the ‘top of their game’.

Training on new technology, engineering equipment and bespoke skills …

Back in 1993, I was fortunate to be selected to learn Serbo-Croat to join a number of personnel delivering interpreter support in Bosnia (bespoke skill).  This led to months of intensive language training delivered by civilian specialists who were at the ‘top of their game’.

An amazing opportunity which proved very challenging both in the classroom and out in the operational environment.

Military career progression often leads to the learner becoming the person at the ‘top of their game’.

If your business could benefit from engineers who are adaptable, quick to learn and seeking to be at the ‘top of their game’ you know who to call:
