Shift Supervisor

Our client has a vacancy for a Shift Supervisor at their site in Street, Somerset. The successful Shift Supervisor will report to the Site Manager and lead the engineering team, driving performance and delivering value.

Shift Supervisor Responsibilities:

  • Lead the engineering team including delivery of performance reviews, development and coaching of team, dealing with employee relations issues, and employee welfare and wellbeing.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and compliance to current H&S standards.
  • Assist with planning of Planned Preventative Maintenance of automation equipment, including the auditing of the equipment.
  • Attend daily meetings & liaise with operations to ensure workload is prioritised correctly.
  • Organise improvements, repairs and modifications and assist in project installation work including cost reduction activities.
  • Ensure that shift manning is organised to achieve operational requirements.
  • Overall management of Spare Parts processes.
  • Assist with planned preventative maintenance and reactive tasks.

Shift Supervisor Requirements:

  • Must have a strong engineering background with electrical and mechanical skills.
  • Hold a relevant recognised engineering qualification in electrical engineering to a minimum level of NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
  • Proven supervisory/management background.
  • Strong health and safety knowledge ideally with IOSH qualification.

Shift Supervisor Benefits:

  • Salary is £50,320 including shift allowance.
  • Panama shift pattern – rotating days/nights.
