Head of People

Our client based in London, has an immediate requirement for a Head of People to join their successful growing company. You will be reporting to the Operations Director and be responsible for the Recruitment, HR and screening, vetting and rostering department and their managers. The successful candidate will have a strong recruitment and HR background to direct the newly created people department within the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient running of these departments through liaising with the respectable managers of these departments to make sure everything is up to date.

Please note the successful candidate will have to come to the office based in London on average 2/3 times a month.

SALARY IS £30,000 – £40,00 DEPENDING ON SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE, MON – FRI 08:30 – 17:00, 20 DAYS HOLIDAY PLUS STATUTORY BANK HOLIDAYS, PENSION SCHEME, BONUS SCHEMES, CAR ALLOWANCE, HOME WORKING FACILITIES PROVIDED (COMPUTER, DESK ETC)

Head of People Responsibilities:

  • Directing the three departments and efficiently running these departments.
  • Effectively getting the recruitment department up and running.
  • Developing the three departments to make positive changes going forward.
  • Identify strong customers/suppliers and maintaining relationships.
  • Making sure all staff have the relevant training, qualifications, screening and vetting.
  • Keeping on top of performance reviews and disciplinaries, ensuring these are updated regularly and kept to a good standard.
  • Ensuring continuous improvement within each department and keeping on top of identifying and actioning areas which need improved.
  • Ensuring the administration duties of each department is maintained to a high standard.

Head of People Requirements:

  • The successful candidate must have a strong recruitment background and strong management / leadership skills.
  • Strong experience within an HR environment.
  • An NVQ Level 3 or higher in Business Administration.
  • Full UK drivers’ licence.
  • English and IT literate.
