An excellent opportunity has become available for a Buildings Engineer to join a facilities management team working on a secure government site in Rutland, Leicestershire. The role involves carrying out a range of planned and reactive maintenance tasks to ensure buildings and critical systems remain safe, compliant and fully operational.
The position involves 39 hours per week across 7 days, including a 1 in 3 weekend shift pattern:
Week 1 – Monday to Friday with the weekend off
Week 2 – Monday Rest Day, Tuesday to Sunday working
Week 3 – Monday to Thursday working with Fri, Sat and Sunday off
Buildings Engineer Requirements:
- Experience in general building or facilities maintenance.
- Knowledge of fire safety systems including fire doors, extinguishers and alarm points.
- Experience carrying out emergency lighting checks and RCD testing.
- Understanding of water temperature testing and water hygiene checks.
- Basic IT skills and experience using maintenance systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
