Technical Sales Engineer

They are currently recruiting for a Technical Sales Engineer to join their team at their site in Lewes, East Sussex. The successful candidate must be flexible towards travelling overseas occasionally to carry out market research and identify new sales opportunities.

Technical Sales Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Research & Development and Engineering Design Teams to resolve customer issues, make suggestions for new products or to implement modifications to existing products generated from discussions with potential or current customers.
  • Identify and develop business and build beneficial relationships with existing and new customers.
  • Attend trade shows to carry out market research and identify new sales opportunities.
  • The successful candidate will undergo product technical training to familiarise themselves with their operation and application in different environments. On completion of the product technical training, they will be expected to train new and existing customers on the installation and commissioning of company products.

Technical Sales Engineer Requirements:

  • Hold a relevant engineering qualification to HNC level or equivalent in electrical engineering.
  • Knowledge and understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to understand customers’ needs and be able to support them through the promotion of the company product ranges.
  • IT literate – competence in Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint.

Technical Sales Engineer Benefits:

  • Circa £50,000 per annum.
  • Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5pm – 37½ hours.
