Service Engineer

Due to continued expansion, my client has an immediate requirement for a Service Engineer to join their team at their site in Durham. The successful Service Engineer will travel to customer sites and will carry out the service, maintenance and repair of refrigeration and lifting equipment.

Candidates with a background in working with HGV’s or vehicle refrigeration, particularly those with a REME background are encouraged to apply.

Service Engineer Requirements:

• Must hold a relevant engineering qualification.
• Experience of working with HGVs or vehicle refrigeration is essential.
• Electrical skills with the ability to fault-find and safely isolate equipment. Ideally you will have worked with 12v/24v and up to 440v systems.
• Flexible approach – willing to travel and participate in an on-call rota.
• IT literate.
• Self-motivated and organised.
• Hold a full clean driving licence.

Service Engineer Benefits:

• Annual salary is £30,000 – £35,000 DOE (£40K) is achievable with overtime and callout payments.
• 37½ hour working week – Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5pm.
