LGV Fitter

My client is a leading recycling company based in South Kirkby, West Yorkshire. Due to continued expansion, they now have a position for a LGV Fitter to join their small team at their site. The successful LGV Fitter will carry out inspection, diagnostics, service, maintenance and repair of the company’s fleet of LGV’s.

This is an exciting time to join the company as it embarks on a period of growth. Candidates coming from an ex-military background; REME Vehicle Mechanic or Royal Air Force/RAF General Technician Mechanical are encouraged to apply.

LGV Fitter Responsibilities:

• Ensure all company vehicles are kept legal and roadworthy.
• Diagnose, repair and maintain all vehicles and trailers in fleet as required.
• Service vehicles and trailers as required.
• Inspect vehicles within the SMI requirements.
• Be part of the call out rota, attending out of hours breakdowns as required.

LGV Fitter Requirements:

• Must hold a relevant mechanical engineering qualification to Level 3 as a minimum.
• Previous experience of working on HGV/LGV vehicles.
• Able to work well under pressure and on own initiative.Hold Class 1/C+E driving licence – desirable.

LGV Fitter Benefits:

• Annual salary is £42,607 – £44,607 depending on experience (includes on call allowance).
