I am recruiting for my client who is looking for an experienced Avionics Technician to join their established engineering team in North Yorkshire.
This is a hands on opportunity suited to someone with strong aircraft electrical and avionics experience who enjoys fault finding, problem solving and working within a close knit technical team.
Avionics Technician Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on aircraft electrical and avionics systems.
- Diagnose and rectify electrical and avionics faults.
- Use wiring diagrams, schematics and technical information to investigate system defects.
- Complete component changes, testing and repairs as required.
- Support aircraft modifications and engineering tasks.
- Maintain accurate maintenance and technical documentation.
- Assist with operational requirements and aircraft servicing.
- Work effectively as part of a small and experienced engineering team.
- Remain flexible to support occasional work at other UK and European locations.
Avionics Technician Requirements:
- Military aircraft technical training or an equivalent recognised aircraft engineering qualification.
- Previous hands on aircraft electrical or avionics maintenance experience.
- Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills.
- The ability to interpret wiring diagrams, schematics and technical publications.
- Experience working on older or legacy aircraft systems would be advantageous.
- A practical, methodical and safety focused approach.
- A full driving licence.
- Flexibility to work away when operationally required.
- Willingness and ability to undertake and successfully complete the required security clearance.
