Demob Job’s initial placement was an ex-British Army Aircraft Technician into a Workshop Engineer position, he became a great asset to their business.
Like many employers across the UK this company recognised the transferable skills and the value that ex-military personnel can bring to their business so, in September 2019, Demob Job were instructed to support them with a Workshop Manager position for their site in Buckingham.
The successful Workshop Manager needed to have a strong mechanical engineering background and have previously worked with mobile cranes.
After gaining a detailed vacancy and person specification Demob Job initiated their search & selection process and sourced an ex Royal Navy Marine Engineer.

Matthew had served a 12-year career in the Royal Navy after which he held an overseas commercial position maintaining cranes. His qualifications include Foundation Degree in Engineering, IOSH and LOLER examination certificates.
The company quickly recognised Matthew’s skills and abilities, this quickly led to his position being developed into a Workshop Health & Safety Manager role taking on additional responsibilities.
