Working within a large, well-equipped workshop environment, you will be part of a small and friendly team assembling pre-engineered systems using a variety of components. The work is hands on and practical, following drawings and technical instructions to complete builds to the required standard.

This role would suit someone with a good level of practical ability who enjoys working with their hands. You do not need to be a fully qualified engineer, more important is your attitude, willingness to learn and ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

Mechanical Assembly Technician Responsibilities:

  • Carry out mechanical assembly tasks using drawings and technical instructions.
  • Assemble components, pipework and associated parts to required specifications.
  • Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.

  • Work as part of a team to meet build targets and deadlines.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop environment.

Mechanical Assembly Technician Requirements:

  • Practical hands on skills and a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work from basic drawings.
  • A positive attitude and good work ethic.
  • Comfortable working as part of a team in a workshop environment.
  • Previous experience in assembly, manufacturing, construction or a similar environment would be beneficial but not essential.

Mechanical Assembly Technician Benefits:

  • Competitive salary depending on experience.
  • Monday to Friday working hours, 37 hours per week.
  • Working hours 8am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday, 8am to 1pm Friday.
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing with service.
  • Auto enrolment pension scheme.
  • Friendly and supportive working environment.
  • Opportunity to join a growing and stable business.
