I am currently recruiting on behalf of my client for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their established engineering team at a busy production facility in Harlow, Essex. The successful Electrical Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and improving a range of production equipment and site services. You will play a key role in ensuring machinery operates efficiently, minimising downtime and supporting overall operational performance. This position would suit an electrically biased engineer who enjoys fault finding and working in a hands on role.
This role would be particularly well suited to an ex-military engineer with a strong electrical background who is looking to secure a stable, well paid position within industry, offering the chance to apply existing skills while continuing to develop within a supportive engineering team.
- Electrical Maintenance Engineer Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across site equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
- Support the continuous improvement of equipment reliability and performance.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and in line with site procedures.
- Assist in maintaining accurate maintenance records and schedules.
- Work closely with production teams to support operational requirements.
- Ensure equipment is operating efficiently and safely at all times.
Electrical Maintenance Engineer Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
- Strong electrical fault finding and diagnostic skills.
- Previous experience working within a production or manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
- Ability to carry out both planned and reactive maintenance.
- Good understanding of health and safety practices.
- Self motivated with a proactive and hands on approach.
- Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Electrical Maintenance Engineer Benefits:
- Salary circa £50,000 depending on experience.
- Working hours 7am to 5pm and 5am to 3pm.
