Getting the most from your recruiter – by Adrian Cheesman
In this short series of articles on ‘getting the most from your recruiter’ I wanted to highlight some areas which will significantly enhance your ability as the employer to gain the ideal conclusion; employ the best available candidate for your business.
If you are interviewing candidates this week who are not ‘hitting the mark’ it is paramount that you provide as much feedback to your recruiter as possible. This will enable him/her to gain a greater understanding of your needs and adjust their search & selection process. Quite often the detail provided at this stage, no matter how small or large, can lead to the positive conclusion wanted by all parties.
If your recruiter is not asking for ‘detailed’ interview feedback I would argue they are not 100% committed to their service delivery. I appreciate that everyone is busy but please allocate time to deliver the feedback to your recruiter.
