IKO PLC is a UK manufacturer of products for the construction industry.
IKO initially appointed Demob Job to source suitable candidates for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer position in Wigan, Lancashire. This was a new requirement due to business growth.
The successful candidate would be working as part of a team responsible for the planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown tasks to production machinery and plant equipment, ultimately ensuring the smooth running of the facility.
The ideal candidate
The ideal candidate would have a minimum of an NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Production Engineering along with experience of working within a maintenance environment exposed to pneumatics, hydraulics and PLCs. The candidate would also have a focused approach to fault finding and be flexible towards working shift patterns.
Ray had completed a 5-year Royal Navy career having been employed as an Aircraft Engineering Technician primarily working on rotary aircraft (helicopters).
This involved both reactive and planned preventative maintenance across several engineering disciplines including mechanical, electrical and hydraulic.
Qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Aeronautical Engineering he also holds qualifications as a COSHH Assessor, First Aid and Emergency First Aid, Working at Height plus Workplace Risk Assessor.
