Introduction:
Do you have communications/electronics/IT engineering experience and come from a military background? Our client are recruiting for a Technical Business Development Manager in Cramlington.

The successful Technical Business Development Manager will be responsible for the promotion and sales of our client’s products and services to their world-wide customer base. This role does involve regular UK and European travel with occasional overnight stays therefore flexibility is required for working hours.

SALARY UP TO £35,000 DOE, COMMISSION STRUCTURE, COMPANY CAR, PENSION SCHEME, PRIVATE HEALTHCARE

Technical Business Development Manager Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all elements of the client’s commercial sales and promotion.
- Actively pursue new sales.
- Direct all activities related to the position such as maintenance of sales administration systems and generation of reports for the relevant parties.
- Marketing, promotion and sales of company products and services (Exhibitions, trade journals, company website).
- Maintain strong knowledge of the client’s products, systems and services.
- Liaise and develop successful customer relationships.
- Maintain long term customer relationships through regular visits and communications.
- Produce quotations and proposals according to defined company guidelines using relevant documentation and pricing.
- Maintain records of communications with customers and process quotations towards successful sales.

Technical Business Development Manager Applicant Requirements:
- The successful candidate will be working in a highly competitive market and must therefore be dynamic and motivated as they’ll be at the forefront of product promotion and sales strategies.
- A good understanding of communications/electronics/IT engineering equipment.
- Proven working background in a technical sales role would be preferable.
- Self-motivated and capable of developing an efficient approach to work.
- Very strong communication skills.
- Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
- Able to read, understand and use technical knowledge to promote and sell products.
- Flexible approach to travel, this role will involve regular UK and European travel.
- Full driving license.

Technical Business Development Manager Benefits:
