Our client provides total facilities management solutions to a number of industries within both the private and public sectors throughout the majority of the UK. They are now looking for a Mobile Buildings Services Electrician to join their team. The successful Mobile Building Services Electrician will be home based ideally living in the Birmingham or close surrounding areas and will provide cover across a number of sites in the South however there will be the requirement to cover other sites nationwide. Please note, due to the nature of the role, candidates must be willing to travel and stay away from home overnight during the working week. Candidates must be willing to undergo enhanced DBS clearance.


Mobile Buildings Services Electrician Responsibilities:
- Provide maintenance support to sites for PPM, scheduled and reactive tasks as directed.
- Resolve with Site Managers any failings of PPM at sites which require addressing.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance in accordance with schedules and using a handheld PDA if required.
- Ensure at all times that work is carried out with full attention to health and safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure that areas of work (workshops etc) are at all times maintained in a healthy and safe manner.
- Pro-actively report any areas for repair as and when they are identified and/or notified.
- Where required, supervise and direct the work of specialist sub-contractors.
- Where required, be responsible for the completion and issue of Permit to Works.
- Undertake stock taking and reporting as required and maintain accurate records of stock levels.
- Accurate completion of helpdesk job sheets, timesheets and maintenance linked administration.

Mobile Buildings Services Electrician Requirements:
- Hold an Electrical Engineering qualification; including 17th Edition (or equivalent).
- Must hold electrical test and inspection City & Guilds 2395 or equivalent.
- Proven experience within a facilities/building services environment.
- Familiar with Service Level Agreement and ability to deliver against the requirements of same
- Customer focused approach and the ability to liaise with people at all levels
- Ability to manage own workload and work autonomously
- Flexible approach to travel, overnight stays and requirement to participate in call out rotas.
- IT literate.
- Hold full driving licence.
- Hold IOSH Managing Safely
