Our client is a leading manufacturer of underwater detection systems. They’re now looking for a Customer Support Engineer to join their existing team in Yateley, Hampshire.

SALARY £31,000, MONDAY – FRIDAY 8AM – 4.45PM, 25 DAYS HOLIDAY PLUS 8 STATS, PROFIT RELATED BONUS SCHEME, LIFE ASSURANCE, UNIFORM PROVIDED + OTHER BENEFITS.

Customer Support Engineer Responsibilities:
- The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to external customers and internal staff worldwide.
- Supporting customers over the telephone or via email to fault find, diagnose and rectify faults on their systems.
- Provide configuration to support to customers.
- Escalate complex technical support queries to 2nd line internal engineering function specialists for further diagnosis and advice, ensuring customers are kept up to date with progress of their query throughout the process until resolved.
- Update CRM database information with comprehensive contact details and closure of case on achieving a satisfactory resolution.
- Co-ordinate the process of distributing notifications and bulletins to the relevant internal and customer contacts which requires liaising with engineering / project teams, account managers and business development managers.
- Provide occasional ‘out of hours’ technical support through the support phone.

Customer Support Engineer Applicant Requirements:
- The successful candidate must have a strong electrical / electronics engineering background.
- Hold NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical / Electronic Engineering.
- Experience with radar, sonar, communications or weapons.
- Strong fault-finding experience.
- Experienced with multi meters, oscilloscopes and flukes.
- Good practical skills and a methodical approach to solving problems.
- Self-motivation, with the ability to work autonomously. 
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi task effectively.
- Strong telephone manner and Microsoft Office skills.

Customer Support Engineer Benefits:
- £31,000 annual salary.
