Introduction:
Our client is a well-established provider of network and telecommunications equipment to their clients in various industries. They’re looking to appoint a Telecommunications Engineer to join their team in Chester, Cheshire.

SALARY £25,000 - £30,000 DOE, COMPANY VEHICLE, PENSION SCHEME, MOBILE, LAPTOP, PRIVATE MEDICAL INSURANCE, PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT, OVERTIME AVAILABLE

Telecommunications Engineer Responsibilities:
- Working on the helpdesk carrying out fault diagnostics, ticket and remote support and also carrying out onsite works as required by the business.
- Make site visits to solve any issues regarding communicating devices.
- Inspect and service telecommunication systems including Mitel 250, Panasonic, NEC and Gamma Horizon.
- Install and check broadband/leased line routers.
- Install and create networks for telecommunication systems, cooperating with team members to ensure they’re delivered in a timely manner.
- Log faults with channel partners and update internal and external fault tickets.
- Record customer details and changes on the CRM system.
- Be prepared to develop own skills using online and residential courses.
- Return weekly time sheets to the Technical Manager.

Telecommunications Engineer Applicant Requirements:
- Strong working background within telecommunications engineering and/or a similar background.
- Possession of Mitel 250/Panasonic/NEC up to date accreditation would be advantageous.
- Telecommunications knowledge including ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network), SIP communication standards and analogue services.
- Ability to handle/use a wide range of telecommunications devices.
- Networking experience is essential.
- Must demonstrate good problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge in software that supports telecommunications systems.
- Knowledge of programming language and router configuration.
- Prepared to travel; Full driving licence.
