Introduction:
Our client is a leading supplier of lifting equipment and machinery. They have a requirement for three Service Engineers (Multi-Skilled) to join the team in Haddenham. You must hold a strong mechanical/electrical engineering background, preferably with hydraulics knowledge. Experience of maintaining HGV vehicles/forklifts/plant machinery or access platforms would be advantageous. This role will be workshop-based for 6 – 12 months, once fully trained, you will undertake customer site visits based in central London and from Birmingham to Cornwall

SALARY UP TO £35,000, OVERTIME AVAILABLE, CALL OUT ALLOWANCE, PENSION SCHEME

Service Engineer Responsibilities:
- Undertake maintenance, service and repair of mini cranes and lifting equipment including glass handling solutions, vacuum handling equipment and spider cranes.
- Provide knowledge and support in the event of plant failure.
- Diagnosis of plant/equipment defects.
- Undertake workshop-based refurbishments as and when required.
- Install new components to ensure that machinery is working as quickly and efficiently as possible.
- Report any machine issues and newly encountered problems to the relevant parties as they arise.
- Provide accurate service documentation for site visits.
- Deliver effective on-site specialist technical support to customers.
- Attend customer sites as required to repair plant / equipment defects.
- Undertake an out of hour on-call rota.

Service Engineer Applicant Requirements:
- The successful candidate will hold a strong mechanical and/or electrical engineering background; possessing a relevant engineering qualification is essential.
- Hands on working background of HGV vehicles, fork lift trucks, plant machinery, access platforms could be advantageous.
- Must be able to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic diagrams.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface at all levels.
- Flexible approach to work - willing to travel to client’s sites when required and undertake out of hours on-call rota (1 week in 4).
- Full valid UK driving license as you may be required to travel to client sites.
