Our client is a leading manufacturer of specialist hydraulic equipment across the world. They are now recruiting for a Workshop Engineer to join their existing team in the workshop. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembly, testing and repair work on hydraulic systems.

SALARY £25,000 - £26,000, MONDAY – THURSDAY 7.30am – 4pm & FRIDAY 7.30am – 12.30am, 21 DAYS HOLIDAY PLUS 8 BANK HOLIDAYS, PLENTY OVERTIME & COMPANY PENSION SCHEME

Workshop Engineer Responsibilities:
- The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks in the workshop including the assembly, build and testing of bespoke hydraulic systems which are manufactured by the sites abroad.
- Inspect components during rebuild and repair / replace where necessary.
- Ensure that all configurations of hydraulic systems are correct and fit for purpose for customer requirements.
- Use test equipment such as micrometers and vernier calipers.
- Work alongside the rest of the workshop team to complete tasks as efficiently as possible..
- Respond promptly to requests/instructions in a timely manner and carry out other duties as requested by the workshop manager.
- Ensure that health and safety is adhered to and all company policies and procedures are followed at all times.

Workshop Engineer Applicant Requirements:
- Strong mechanical engineering background, hydraulics experience is essential.
- Inspection & testing experience.
- Stripping down, fault finding and replacing parts on hydraulics systems.
- Knowledge of hydraulic gear pumps, piston pumps and control valves.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Flexible with regards to working overtime.

Workshop Engineer Benefits:
- Salary £25,000 - £26,000.
- Monday to Thursday 7.30am – 4pm & Friday 7.30am – 12.30am.
