Introduction:
Our client provides total facilities management solutions to a number of industries within both the private and public sectors throughout the majority of the UK. They are now recruiting for a SHEQ Manager to join their team. The successful SHEQ Manager will work closely with the Head of Compliance and the wider operational team to support the effective delivery of health & safety compliance. Candidates must be flexible in their approach to travel as there is a requirement to cover all company sites nationwide.

SALARY IS £COMPETITIVE, COMPANY CAR/CAR ALLOWANCE OF £4,620, PRIVATE HEALTHCARE, DEATH IN SERVICE, EMPLOYER CONTRIBUTORY PENSION SCHEME, PHI COVER, 25 DAYS HOLIDAY + BANK HOLIDAYS.

SHEQ Manager Responsibilities:
- Complete and maintain Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality audits for all locations.
- Maintain accurate and current records in accordance with company requirements including those related to contractual, legal and statutory.
- Adhere to procedures to ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely and correct manner, efficiently, economically and for the benefit of the site and the company.
- Monitor accident / incident / near miss records and trends.
- Complete forms and paperwork accurately as and when required.
- Consistently deliver demonstrable high-quality services to all stakeholders.
- Regular liaison with other facilities staff and departments, site occupiers and service users.
- Report any issue immediately that may affect the Service User/service of the site.
- Undertake training deemed relevant to the position.
- Observe good personal hygiene and appearance.

SHEQ Manager Requirements:
Essential:
- Hold NEBOSH Grad or equivalent and NEBOSH Certificate.
- Proven experience within a comparable role.
- Experience of policy formulation and implementation.
- Excellent H & S knowledge with a wide breadth of experience across diverse business function.
- Excellent knowledge of current and anticipated safety legislation and safety management techniques.
- Use of Microsoft Word and Excel, to produce formal reports and letters.
Desirable:
- Experience of health and safety within a healthcare environment and knowledge of HTM requirements.
- Qualified First Aider.
- Trained in Fire Risk Assessment.
- Working knowledge of management systems including ISO 9001 and 14001.
- Experience of developing and delivering health and safety training.
