Introduction:
Our client is a UK leading support services company looking after our Armed Forces and the Ministry of Defence (MoD) by delivering essential services. They now have a requirement for a Technical Inspector to join their team at their site at RAF Wyton, Cambridgeshire. The successful candidate will have to undergo security clearance.

SALARY IS UP TO £32,000, PENSION SCHEME, 25 DAYS HOLIDAY PLUS BANK HOLIDAYS.

Technical Inspector Responsibilities:
- Conduct quality assurance audits on the CAAS/Decent Homes Standard surveys produced by sub-contract surveyors to ensure details within are accurate and true.
- Conduct CAAS Challenge & Appeal re-surveys within occupied SFA in a timely matter and as per company standard appointment procedure.
- Production of reports to show findings found while undertaking CAAS challenge or assurance surveys.
- Undertake technical surveys i.e. Damp & Mould / HHSRS surveys within occupied and void SFA has and when required. Including the production of a report detailing the likely cause and remedial action required to remove issue.
- Undertake additional assurance or adhoc surveying has required by your line manager or Housing Stock Management Team.
- Work closely and give technical advice to local teams and departments on building defects and maintenance issues.
- Plan, organise and co-ordinate appointments to ensure work is carried out in a timely and cost effective manner.
- Production and maintenance of weekly and monthly reports as required by management.

Technical Inspector Requirements:
Essential:
- Educated to a minimum of HNC standard in Building Surveying/Studies.
- Demonstrable experience of Building surveying.
- Complete understanding of the Decent Homes Standard and the relevant series within including the Housing Health & Scoring Rating System (HHSRS).
- Knowledge of Energy Performance Certificate conventions.
- Experienced in dealing with customers.
- Experience with operating within a military environment.
- IT literate.
Desirable:
- CSRT qualification in Damp Remediation.
- Domestic Energy Assessor qualification.
- Knowledge of the Housing Health & Safety Rating System (HHSRS).
