Introduction:
Our client is a well-established provider of logistics services for their client base worldwide. They have a requirement for a Business Development Executive to work from home and travel to client’s sites in the North of England. The successful candidate will secure new customers and develop existing customers in order to achieve/exceed agreed sales budgets. Please note you must be flexible in your approach to work and travel as this position covers Northern England. Candidates will be considered living in Leeds, the North West or surrounding areas.

£NEGOTIABLE SALARY DOE, CAR ALLOWANCE/VEHICLE, PENSION SCHEME, LAPTOP AND MOBILE

Business Development Executive Responsibilities:
- Create a plan of sales appointments with prospect, developing and existing clients with a game plan to engage and secure opportunity for our client.
- Develop necessary procedures and processes to ensure the sales function operates efficiently, effectively and achieves objectives.
- Monitor sales and take remedial action where necessary to ensure sales targets are met.
- Monitor and control the budget for your area to ensure all financial targets are met and all necessary financial controls are in place to comply with company/regulatory requirements.
- Provide monthly reports to confirm performance YTD against sales budget and other KPI’s.
- Maintain an awareness of developments in sales techniques and technology.
- Maintain pipeline of prospect business monthly and the medium term.
- Construct and develop sales presentations as and requested.
- Attend our client’s site (Manchester) on an occasional basis and spend one day per month at the Basildon site with the National Sales Manager.

Business Development Executive Applicant Requirements:
- Proven experience and success in business development.
- Excellent understanding of the Ocean/Air Freight sector.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- IT Literate.
- Flexible approach to travelling to client’s sites on a daily basis.
- Hold full clean driving licence.
