Introduction:
My client is a UK leading support services company looking after our Armed Forces by delivering essential services.  They now require an Arboriculture Officer to cover the Scotland and Northern Ireland regions. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining agreed levels of tree management, in collaboration with business and the supply chain members, and oversee delivery of all Arboriculture works within the assigned areas.

SALARY IS £30,000 TO £35,000 + CAR OR CAR ALLOWANCE AND 25 DAYS PLUS BANK HOLIDAYS & MORE

Arboriculture Officer Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage all processes associated with amenity tree management to ensure contract compliance.
- Provide technical support on tree maintenance, safety and management to all stakeholders in connection with the maintenance of the estate, and ensure the safe delivery of tree works in consultation with the SHEF manager.
- Manage tree surveys and inspections; ensure reports are completed in a timely manner.
- Ensure that 15-monthly surveys of all amenity trees include a hazard evaluation and prioritisation of maintenance works to enable an appropriate response within an acceptable timescale.
- Prepare specifications and reports on new or existing works as required.
- Manage the supply chain partners to deliver compliant service delivery in a timely manner.
- Monitor the disposal of waste and ensure that all documentation is available, where necessary.
Liaise with the sustainability manager to ensure that the environmental impact of arboriculture works are considered fully.
- Support the grounds officer at MoD conservation group and other meetings.
- Ensure that all aspects of amenity tree maintenance, both planned and response, within the designated contract areas provided to the quality, timescales and financial limits agreed.

Arboriculture Officer Applicant Requirements:
- Level 3 qualification in Arboriculture, urban forestry or urban woodland management.
- Valid full UK driving licence.
- Ability to travel extensively between sites.
- Professional approach to inspections and surveys and the production of reports.
- IT literate with a good understanding of MS office applications.
- Good working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and environmental standards.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to interface with customers at all levels.
