Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Location: West Bromwich, West Midlands

Introduction:
Our client is an established manufacturer of their specialised product. They’re now looking for an Electrical Engineer to join their team at West Bromwich.

£COMPETITIVE SALARY DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE, PENSION SCHEME & FREE PARKING

Electrical Engineer Responsibilities:
- Preventative, corrective maintenance and fault finding of electrical systems including PLC controlled systems, single and three phase supplies, machine repairs, as well as diagnosis and repairs across a wide range of manufacturing equipment.
- Attend daily / weekly team support meetings and provide feedback on maintenance related issues.
- Create and work to PPM schedules and undertake any corrective actions.
- Report maintenance downtime issues and analyse equipment to improve performance.
- Undertake and lead small improvement programs as and when required.
- Take responsibility in assigned areas of ownership and provide a monthly progress report.
- Identify critical spares for designated machines and refurbish spares as required.
- Undertake administration responsibilities within the role and liaise with manufacturers and suppliers as required.

Electrical Engineer Applicant Requirements:
- Must hold a relevant electrical engineering qualification (BTEC, City & Guilds, NVQ).
- Working knowledge of hydraulic systems.
- Working knowledge within a FMCG, production, or manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
- Health & Safety conscious (Manual handling, fire safety, asbestos awareness, working at heights).
Desirable:
- Requirements for Electrical Installations (City & Guilds 2382)
- 17th Edition Wiring Regulations
