My client provides aircraft engineering maintenance solutions to their clients. Due to continued expansion they are now recruiting for a Storesperson at their site in Hungerford. The successful candidate will maintain a bonded store for aircraft parts and a commercial store for other items.

This presents itself as an ideal opportunity to join an established company. Although not essential, this could be well suited for a person who has previously served in the Armed Forces i.e. Royal Navy (Logistician), British Army (Royal Logistics Corps) or Royal Air Force/RAF (Supplier) with a technical aptitude and strong organisation skills.

- Maintain a bonded store for aircraft parts and a commercial store for other items.
- Order parts from approved suppliers using an illustrated parts catalogue.
- Receive parts into store against orders, ensuring correct documentation.
- Issue parts from store as required by maintenance staff.
- Issue and control of standard and special tooling.
- Ability to work with suppliers to achieve the delivery of parts to the required deadlines.
- Bring to the attention of management or a supervisor any issue that is unclear or which is outside the scope of the approved documentation.

Applicant Requirements:
- Will ideally have experience in a similar role within a MoD environment.
- Experience of store keeping is highly desirable, including booking-in goods, stock control, issuing spares, understanding the process for the control of non-conforming products and of stock taking.
- Technical aptitude with some formal training particularly in an aeronautical capacity would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of the MoD/NATO stock numbering system and the MoD paperwork systems is beneficial.
- Experience of working within a regulated environment is also desirable.
- Effective team player with ability to work on own initiative.
- Sound communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
- Enthusiastic and keen with the desire to learn new skills.
- IT literate with the Microsoft suite of products is required. Some knowledge of using databases would be useful, with the ability and willingness to learn new software.

- Circa £25,000 per annum.
- 44½ hours per week - Monday – Thursday 8am – 5.30pm, Friday 8am – 5pm.
- 20 days holiday plus bank holidays.
