Introduction: 
Our client is a leading manufacturer based in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham. Due to continued expansion they are now looking for a Materials Scheduler to join their existing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing supplier management information and inventory analysis and effectively manage day to day stock queries, troubleshooting and finding solutions within a lean manufacturing facility.

This presents itself as an ideal opportunity to join an established company and, although not essential, could be well suited for a person who has previously served in the Armed Forces i.e. Army, Royal Navy or Royal Air Force (RAF) and has previously worked within a similar role.


Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate analysis of inventory.
- Maintain and provide regular updates on supplier management information.
- Ensure on time and accuracy of all deliveries.
- Coordinate off-site sub-contractor working requirements.
- Manage supplier scheduling issues utilising MRP and delivery control systems.
- Effectively manage stock control issues raised by design change and design obsolescence.


Applicant Requirements:
- The successful candidate must ideally have previous experience as a Materials Scheduler.
- Material planning experience.
- Knowledge of MRP systems.
- Ability to expedite orders and achieve results.
- Experience of working in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
