Introduction: 
Our client is a leading manufacturer based in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham. Due to continued expansion they are now looking for a Quality Technician to join their existing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the quality of the product manufactured is conformant to all quality procedures followed by the company and dealing with any investigations needed.

This presents itself as an ideal opportunity to join an established company and, although not essential, could be well suited for a person who has previously served in the Armed Forces i.e. Army, Royal Navy or Royal Air Force (RAF) and has previously worked within a similar role.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for supporting with quality performance internally and externally.
- Support new product introduction and represent the quality department in meetings when needed.
- Provide daily / weekly / monthly reports on quality performance by carrying out quality audits.
- Assist in the identification and implementation of improvements and ensure that the correct standards are rolled out across the site.
- Carry out regular audits on products / manufacturing processes to ensure the correct procedures are being followed.
- Perform 8D, root cause analysis tasks to ensure that every avenue is explored and write up PPAP reports to relay information to the correct departments.
- Ensure ISO:9001 and 14001 standards are followed closely.
- Carry out any other duties as requested by line manager.

Applicant Requirements:
- The successful candidate must have a strong background within quality / engineering and hold a relevant qualification.
- Knowledge of PPAP and have strong report writing skills.
- Manufacturing background.
- Team Player.
- Demonstrable organisation and planning skills.
- Excellent communication skills - verbal and written.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
