Introduction:
Our client based in Tring, Hertfordshire is a well-established technical solutions provider. Due to continued expansion they are now looking for a Technical Support Advisor to join their existing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and advice to residential and business customers.

In order to be considered for this role you must have a thorough understanding of computer and networking technologies with excellent customer service / communication skills.

This presents itself as an ideal opportunity to join an established company and, although not essential, could be well suited for a person who has previously served in the Armed Forces i.e. Army, Royal Navy or Royal Air Force (RAF) and has previously worked within a similar role.

Responsibilities:
- Provide telephone technical support to customers, installers and service technicians requiring guidance and assistance on products.
- Support the customer through proactive and customer friendly technical assistance.
- Assist with fault finding on the client’s products and parts identification / selection.
- Assist with the prompt processing of warranty claims, reports and detailed analysis on warranty costs.
- Record all relevant information on CRM system.
- Provide detailed analysis on product/component performance.
- Adhere to and assist with the management of Company Quality/Environmental polices.
- Organise and assist with the delivery of product training.
- Assist the Service department in resolving on-site product issues.
- Assist with a range of administrative duties.

Applicant Requirements:
- The candidate must be technically minded and have an interest in how things work.
- Strong networking skills.
- Good attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written.
- An excellent attitude towards providing consistently high levels of Customer Service.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work to strict deadlines.
- Enjoy problem solving.
- Proficient at liaising with team members.
- Good IT knowledge including standard Microsoft Office packages CRM type software.
- Willing to be trained and developed to understand the company products in order to provide technical assistance.

Benefits:
- Up to £25,000 annual salary depending on experience.
- Monday - Friday.
