Introduction: 
Our client is one of the UK's leading support services companies.  They deliver many key services including design, build, manage, operate and maintaining assets dealing with companies both in the UK and overseas, supplying customers in a wide variety of industry sectors including Defence, Marine, Naval, MoD, Nuclear, Communications, Energy and Transportation. They now require a Continuous Improvement Engineer to be based at their site in Helensburgh, Glasgow.  The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and implementing operational improvement opportunities providing innovative process and procedural efficiencies.

This presents itself as an ideal opportunity to join an established company and, although not essential, could be well suited for a person who has previously served in the Armed Forces i.e. Army, Royal Navy or Royal Air Force (RAF) and has previously worked within a similar role.

Responsibilities:
- Provide innovative process and procedural efficiencies to support the company’s strategic objective of increasing certainty of project delivery.
- Working within the fleet operations team and dealing with a range of internal and external customers.
- Work collaboratively with their colleagues to plan and manage improvement projects.
- Responsible for reporting to project boards and for producing high quality management information.
- Any other tasks as requested by the department manager.

Applicant Requirements:
Essential:
- Must have an HNC or equivalent in an engineering related subject.
- The successful candidate must have a strong background within continuous improvement engineering and have previously worked within a manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience of working in a heavily regulated environment would be advantageous.
- Highly organised; able to effectively manage multiple competing priorities.
- Effective relationship building & interpersonal skills.
- Team Player.
- Demonstrable organisation and planning skills.
- Excellent communication skills - verbal and written.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.

Benefits:
- Salary £32,837 - £36,486.
- Monday - Friday.
- 25 Days holiday plus 8 stats.
