Introduction:
Our client is a design and manufacturing company who operate within a variety of industry sectors worldwide. Due to continued expansion an opportunity has arisen for a Service Engineer to join their business. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, service and repair of equipment at their customer sites along the M4 Corridor.  Ideal candidate locations will include Slough, Reading, Newbury and Swindon.

Please note that this is a primarily a field based role where you will be expected to work away from home working a day shift pattern which includes the weekends.  This is a 47.5 hour standard working week, more detail provided on enquiry.  You must be flexible towards your working hours and being away from home.

Our client is particularly keen on engineers with an electrical bias who have previously worked on maintaining high volume production line equipment.  Suitable candidates are encouraged to apply immediately.

Responsibilities:
- Perform routine, planned maintenance and all service activities on customer equipment.
- Provide technical advice to customers on equipment.
- Attend and resolve emergency breakdown issues.
- Assist colleagues to perform plant surveys and audits.
- Accurately complete associated paper work.
- Comply with all Company policies including Health & Safety policy.

Applicant Requirements:
- An electrically qualified engineer holding a relevant electrical qualification.
- Experience within a service, maintenance or plant commissioning environment.
- Familiar with PLCs would be an advantage.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Sound communicator.
- Self-motivated, able to work using own initiative.
- Enjoy problem solving.
- Full driving licence.
