Our client is a well-established production facility based in Yatton, Somerset. Due to continued expansion they are now looking for an Electrical Maintenance Technician. This is a day shift role and the successful candidate will be responsible for planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance across the companies’ plant and equipment.

In order to be considered for this role you must have a strong electrical engineering bias along with qualifications including 17th edition wiring regulations. You will be working a permanent day shift role and the company will offer flexibility with regards to start and finish times.

This presents itself as an ideal opportunity to join an established company and, although not essential, could be well suited for a person who has previously served in the Armed Forces i.e. Army (REME), Royal Navy (Marine Engineer) or Royal Air Force (RAF) coming from an electrical engineering background and / or have previously worked within a production / manufacturing / FMCG environment.

- Ensure that production machinery/equipment is achieving maximum efficiency.  
- You will be responsible for reactive breakdown repairs and adhere to the planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedule.
- Carry out fault diagnosis and repair of a wide variety of electro–mechanical systems including hydraulics, conveyors and associated systems; pumps, 3 phase 440V supplies, 230V single phase supplies, pneumatics, motors, filling machines, mixing machines, packaging machinery, drives, belts, piping systems, high volume production equipment, electrical machinery along with other associated plant.

You will be a ‘hands-on’ Electrical Engineer and be able to apply your previous engineering background and experience to achieve the very highest levels of plant maintenance. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be self-motivated and innovative in approach, capable of working within a proactive team and be committed to Planned Preventative Maintenance and the highest standards of Health & Safety.

Applicant Requirements:
- The successful candidate must have a strong electrical engineering background and be fully qualified.
- You must hold 17th edition wiring regulations and be a time served apprentice.
- Enjoy fault finding & problem solving.
- Experience working on projects – installation of new machinery or machine upgrades.
- Basic mechanical engineering background.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Team Player.
- Flexible approach to work.

- Up to £32,000 Salary.
- Day shift – 7am – 4pm Monday – Friday.
