Introduction:
Our client is a leading provider in support services to a number of key sectors including the military and Defence. They deliver the majority of engineering instruction to the Armed Forces and now have an immediate requirement for a Course Designer at their military site in Lyneham, Wiltshire. The successful candidate will report to the Course Designer Lead.

This is a permanent position working Monday to Friday where the successful candidate will receive an annual salary from £32,000 to £35,000 dependent on your experience. The working environment is excellent as this is a brand new modern facility.

The ideal candidate will have previously worked within a Ministry of Defence (MOD) or Armed Forces (Royal Navy, British Army or Royal Air Force) environment and be familiar with knowledge of Defence Systems Approach to Training DSAT. Candidates with an armaments or weapons background would be of particular interest.

Responsibilities:
- Review Training Objectives (TOs) produced by our client.
- Produce controlled Course Training Package (CTP) documents for both equipment and career courses primarily in the armaments/weapons discipline.
- Produce specific course packages to meet DCTT EMTC and Contractor specific requirements.
- Produce and evaluate Précis, Examinations and Assessment Packages.
- Deliver Pilot courses with Instructors (where necessary).
- Evaluate requirements and need for new training aids and advise on purchase of training aids.
- Review suitability of E-learning.

Applicant Requirements:
- Must have HNC/HND or equivalent in Mechanical engineering.
- Ability to research new subjects, design and develop new materials for précis, assignments and projects.
- Knowledge of technical authorship.
- Knowledge of Defence Systems Approach to Training DSAT.
- Carry out personal development to keep abreast of changes in technology.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Working knowledge of IT systems and Microsoft Packages.
- The ability to work on your own when required.
- Working within a quality management system.
