Our client is a leading nationwide service provider of high quality, cost effective security solutions to their prestigious client base. They now have an immediate requirement for a Field Service Engineer to join their team. Working from home, the successful candidate will cover the South East and will be located within a 40 miles radius of Fleet, Hampshire. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, service and repair of the company’s electro-mechanical equipment. Please note you must have a flexible approach to working and traveling as your service area will cover the South of England. It is essential for this role that you hold a Full UK Driving Licence as you will be required to travel around in the company vehicle that will be provided. Candidates must be willing to undertake security clearance.

This presents itself as an ideal opportunity to join an established company and, although not essential, could be well suited for a person who has previously served in the Armed Forces i.e. Royal Navy (Marine Engineer), Army (REME) or Royal Air Force/RAF (Aircraft Technician) and has previously worked with electro-mechanical systems.

- Liaise with customers on site and carry out installation, service, maintenance and repair of a range of security fencing, barriers and gates supplied by the company.
- Identify mechanical, electrical and electronic faults on equipment including; wiring, PCB’s, motors, pumps, hydraulic hoses, chains and belts, carrying out the necessary repairs.
- Install new components to ensure that machinery is working as quickly and efficiently as possible.
- Advise customers on best possible solutions to ensure that machinery is working to the best of its ability.
- Provide accurate service documentation for site visits.
- Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with company Health & Safety regulations.
- Maintain an awareness of company Quality Assurance requirements.
- Take a positive and proactive approach to the promotion of all aspects of the company.
- You must be flexible as once you are fully trained you will be required to work as part of an on call rota.

Applicant Requirements:
- Must have a strong electro-mechanical engineering background.
- Hold a relevant engineering qualification.
- Strong technical background.
- Strong fault finding skills.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams.
- Ability to work on own initiative and remain calm under pressure
- Sound communicator.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Enjoy problem solving.
- Flexible approach – willing to be part of an on call rota (1 in 4 weekends).
- Full clean driving licence.
- Hold 17th Edition.

- Salary £Negotiable.
- Call out Allowance.
