My client is a leading provider of engineering solutions to a number of industries. Due to continued expansion they now have a requirement for a QSHE Officer to join their team at their site in Camberley. Reporting to the QHSE Manager the successful candidate will provide the company advice and support for quality, health, safety and environmental management systems, serving both internal and external customers. There will be a requirement to attend other offices across the UK, as well as attending customer sites on occasion, so you will need to be flexible to travel across the UK as required. Some overnight stays will also be required.

This presents itself as an ideal opportunity to join an established company and, although not essential, could be well suited for a person who has previously served in the Armed Forces i.e. Army, Royal Navy (Marine Engineer), or Royal Air Force (RAF) with an engineering background and strong health and safety knowledge working within a similar role.

- Conducting internal and external QSHE audits in compliance with ISO and OHSAS standards.
- Participating in Customer questionnaires and tenders.
- Conducting in-house and off-site SHE inspections and Safety Tours.
- Accident/incident investigations.
- Conducting Risk Assessment, Policy and Procedure reviews.
- Assisting in the promotion of stronger participation and ownership of QSHE issues throughout the organization.
- Liaising with Department Managers on the needs of the business, legal and compliance requirements, on QSHE matters.
- Monitoring and updating QSHE related records, logs and documentation.
- Facilitating Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) committee meetings.
- Participating in Third Party audits and certification surveillance visits.
- Monitoring and reviewing Legal Compliance requirements.
- Monitoring and facilitating statutory inspections and tests.
- Contributing to the periodic Supplier/Contractor Reviews.
- Auditing, assessing and monitoring Contractors/Sub-contractors employed by the company.
- Maintaining QSHE information to the ‘Shared’ Drive and the Intranet (SHARE).
- Monitoring and administrating the Calibration of Measuring Instruments.
- Conducting appropriate QSHE staff training and New Starter Inductions.

Applicant Requirements:
- The successful candidate is required to hold a NEBOSH certificate or equivalent.
- Proven experience of working in a similar QSHE role within a manufacturing or engineering environment is required.
- Strong communication skills and be able to actively promote the work of the QSHE department to all levels of the business in a professional and understandable way.
- Strong written ability and be able to provide concise and understandable reports for both management and employees.
- IT literate; Microsoft Office with the ability to learn new systems.
- Flexible approach and be able to prioritise your workload to the needs of the business and the department.
- A self-starter with the confidence to plan appropriate actions, you will be keen to develop your understanding of the QSHE requirements of the company.
- Full UK driving licence.
- IOSH membership.
- Experience in training and presentation skills.
- Experience with AutoCAD and Visio.

- Salary; £25,000 - £35,000 depending on experience.
- Monday to Friday – core flexi time hours.
