Introduction:
Our client is one of the UK’s leading support services companies. They deliver many key services including training, design, build, manage, operate and maintaining assets. They deal with companies both in the UK and overseas, supplying customers in a wide variety of industry sectors including Defence, Marine, Naval, MoD, Nuclear, Communications, Energy and Transportation. They now have a requirement for a Marine Engineering/Propulsion Instructor (Submarines) to be based at HMNB Clyde, Helensburgh. Candidates must be willing to undertake security clearance and satisfy Ministry of Defence security requirements.

This presents itself as an ideal opportunity to join an established company and could be well suited for a person who has previously served in the Royal Navy (Marine Engineer) preferably on Astute-class submarines.


Responsibilities:
- Act as Instructor and subject matter expert.
- Deliver classroom and simulator-based training to Nuclear Propulsion Plant Operators and Marine Engineering Maintainers.
- Provide specialist advice as necessary, assisting with the training design process.
- Complete associated administrative duties.
- Ensure Company security, health, safety and environmental procedures are implemented and complied with at all times.


Applicant Requirements:
Essential:
- Proven demonstrable recent experience operating Naval nuclear propulsion systems (preferably on Astute-class submarines).
- Reactor Core H experience would be an advantage.
- Qualified Category A Watchkeeper in the Royal Navy Submarine Service.
- Comprehensive knowledge and recent experience of operating Naval nuclear steam raising plant.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface at all levels.
Desirable:
- Previous experience of training delivery.
- Hold DIT or DTTT qualification.
