My client provides total facilities management solutions to a number of industry sectors within both the private and public sectors throughout the majority of the UK. They are now looking for a Maintenance Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of all maintenance, maintenance staff and commercial and compliance matters within the contract. Please note this is a Fixed Term Contract for 6 Months.

It is envisaged that the successful candidate will be mechanically biased and have previous experience within a technical/engineering role and a proven demonstrable background in management. Although not essential this could be well suited to candidates coming from an ex forces background i.e Royal Navy, Royal Air Force and Army. Candidates must be willing to undergo enhanced DBS clearance.

- Maintenance of properties and associated building services ensuring they are maintained to the highest standard at all times.
- Ensure that PPMs to be delivered in accordance with the programme at all times.
- Ensuring compliance with contract timescales ensuring that Company systems are used and adhered to.
- Adherence to Company processes and procedures as defined by the Company’s ISO and systems compliance tools.
- Effective, timely and accurate reporting as directed.
- Take site lead in problem solving of systems and equipment.
- Management of specialist sub-contractors on site.
- Undertaking maintenance tasks at both or either sites.
- Ensuring that the teams are supervised and managed to an excellent standard.
- Participating as an active member of the maintenance team and of the on-call team.
- Commercial performance of the contracts.

Applicant Requirements:

- Hold a recognised Mechanical Engineering qualification with a proven technical background with experience and knowledge of buildings services/maintenance/facilities management.
- Proven management/supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of Hard Facilities Management.
- Must have experience of working with Building and Information Management Systems.
- Working knowledge of ISO9001 and / or experience of working with Quality Systems.
- An understanding of contractual obligations and commercial impacts.
- Customer focused with excellent inter-personal skills and the ability to liaise with customers at all levels.
- Decision maker.
- Sound working knowledge of health and safety.
- Hands on proactive style.
- Hold clean driving licence.
- IT Literate.
- Hold a relevant Electrical engineering qualification.
- Hold 17th Edition.
- Hold IOSH Managing Safely.
- Hold ILM Level 3 or equivalent qualification in general management.
- Health Sector experience and a working knowledge of Health Technical Memorandums - HTM (Ideally mental health)

- Salary £Competitive.
- Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week.
