Our client is now currently recruiting for an Engineering First Line Manager to join their existing team in Kings Lynn, Norfolk. You will be responsible for covering three different sites in Bawsey, Billinghay and Chettisham. Responsibilities include first line management of the engineering teams on each site, ensuring that all planned maintenance and reactive maintenance is covered to ensure the least amount of downtime.

Engineering First Line Manager Responsibilities:
Manage and implement Health and Safety policies and procedures ensuring compliance with legislation and aligned to best practice.
Manage the engineering team, driving consistently excellent performance to deliver KPI’s for Reliability, Safety, Quality, Service and Cost.
Promote an inclusive culture, focussing on employee engagement in order to deliver business objectives.
Manage team performance, setting targets, undertaking regular appraisals. Dealing with absence, capability and disciplinary matters.
Assist in co-ordinating the activities of the engineers to address breakdowns or interruptions to production in order to minimise downtime, including other sites dependant upon priorities.
Planning and monitoring planned preventative maintenance activities.
Propose, lead and implement key projects and Capex plans as required in order to deliver business objectives.
Engineering First Line Manager Applicant Requirements:
You must have a proven engineering management background and have some strong multi skilled engineering skills being a subject matter expert within mechanical and electrical engineering.
Ideally you will have an electrical bias with some solid mechanical skills.
Strong electrical background and hold 18th edition wiring regulations or equivalent.
Good experience and understanding of both Health & Safety and Environmental regulations and their impacts.
Knowledge of CMMS systems.
Demonstrable experience of implementing both short term and long-term solutions in an engineering function covering both electrical and mechanical equipment.
