How do I get a contract job?
”Last month I registered my CV with Demob Job and was pleased to receive a call from Joanne regarding a NOC/Technical support engineer vacancy in the Dorset area. Within a day of this call, I had secured myself an interview for the following week. A day after the interview I was given the great news that I was successful and I had got the job. I would like to personally thank Joanne for all her help and guidance, especially her advice with regards to the interview stage. If it wasn’t for Demob Job I wouldn’t have known about the vacancy and I advise all ex HM Forces to register with them.”
Contract vs Permanent Employment
The difference between contract employment compared to permanent employment here in the UK is contract employees can be classed as a temporary or fixed term position as opposed to a permanent long term position. People that undertake contract employment is usually called contractors and those that take permanent employment are usually called employees.
Contractors are also generally paid more money than employees. This is because contractors can be self-employed and demand a higher wage due to the contract being short term, which can be attractive to companies that have projects that could have end dates.
