Introduction:
My client based in Hayes, Middlesex is a very sophisticated Electronics company who specialize in the Design and Manufacture of High Voltage Power Supplies and Traveling Wave tube Amplifiers for Radars and EW Transmitters. They have a wide variety of customers which include many companies within the Defence sector. Due to continued expansion my client is now looking for an Electro Mechanical Assembly Operator. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling and soldering Power Supplies Sub Assemblies as well as wind high voltage transformers and assemble PCBs.
Responsibilities:
- Day to day responsibilities to include the assembly of electro mechanical components ensuring the product is built to the required specification.
- Assembly of power supply stages adhering to drawings, assembly procedures and processes.
- Ability to use soldering and bonding equipment.
- Wind small to medium size transformers to drawings.
- Wire electronic sub assemblies to drawings and operations sheets.
- Maintain housekeeping standards at all times.
- Ensure that all parts are assembled to the company's consistent high standards.
- Locate relevant parts from stores and advise team leaders of low stock / supplies etc.
- Liaising with other assemblers and line leaders as required.
- Assembly of the company products using products and components via information received from the production manager ensuring that orders are built on time and to the correct specification.
Applicant Requirements:
- Experience of wiring and mechanical assembly of small/medium electronic assemblies.
- Proven background in similar electronics manufacturing / production environment.
- Ability to understand wiring diagrams in order to ensure safe handling of electrical components.
- Previous experience of soldering / bonding techniques using electrical / electronic components.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work on own or as part of a team.
- Technically minded
- Able to work to tight deadlines.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Well organised.
- Please note you will be required to undergo a high level of security clearance in order to obtain this role.
